A. Call To Order
Chair Jay Gardner called the meeting to order at 5:31 pm and City Staff Bonnie
McLaughlin called roll.

Thank you for the collaboration of the committees with Parks and Rec, appreciate the
focus on parks, supporting the Commodores Park plan and the public input, people want
connectivity to the parks, lots of opportunities. Also in support of the Erosion Resolution,
know that erosion happens and can cause damage so important to get ahead of it.

VVaterahore & Beach Advisory Committee (Terry Palmer)
Voted a new chair from Visit Corpus Chriad, discussed joint resolution and voted in
support ofit, recognized the work by Kevin and all of his hard work and great
oonnnnunioadon, had quick report from Nueoea County Beach Management Advisory
Connnnittee, discussed permeable concrete in new construction to prevent runoff and the
costs of such, also Darren reported that there was a lot of coastal erosion lately from
atornna. lifeguard platforms very close tothe water and slightly aakevv, they will be moving
thenn, ad|| working on Paokery overlook (picnic tables and benohea, sign on Zahn Rd. for
Paokery Channel), discussed |ifeguarda, want to establish athreaho|d so that lifeguards
are protected in dangerous conditions (hurrioanea, eto.). will talk toGalveston and South
Padre about their policies. Subcommittee working on monitoring for the Paokery Channel
but nothing to report yet.
Parka & Recreation Committee (Tvvi|a Stevens)
Discussed erosion resolution, Riley P. Dog Park update that the research is ongoing for
potable water sources, identified waterline locations, original lease agreement to be
amended to allow city to help out, monthly item from now on, last item discussed was
input into Parka Master Plans, working on a strategic plan for PRACto have more input
atearlier stages on master plans.

Second reading before council was today and it passed, will start work on wish list, will
need to discuss at the January meeting.

No meeting as of yet.
G. Future Agenda Items
Keep current agenda but add Commodore Park to Unfinished Business.
