Why was this Change necessary:
The approved design called for the existing 24"storm water line to remain in place from Station 30+73 to Station 25+00(573 feet). When the contractor started the preparation for the new concrete road,it
was discovered that the top of the storm water line was going to be several inches into the new concrete road if left in its current location. To rectify the issue the engineer of record recommended that the
existing storm water line be replaced with 19"x 30"arched concrete pipe. This change will eliminate the conflict whilst maintaining the storm water line capacity. Additional conflicts exist at two other
locations and will require similar adjustments(see RFI's 11 and 13).

After review of the situation, it is recommended that the existing 24" RCP be removed and
replaced with 19" x 30" Oval RCP, from MH A-5 (Sta. 21+88:7) to MH A-6 (Sta. 27+67.1) at
0% slope and at flow line elevation 33.14. This may require MH A-6 to be replaced in order to
lower the outlet pipe (N). All other pipes flowing into MH A-6 are to remain as presently exist.

Reytec Construction Resources, Inc. found another storm line conflict with the dual 24" storm crossing at
Corporate Dr. and Jr. Beck intersection. The plans call for the inlet tops to be rehabilitated. The top of the
existing 24" RCP will be in the bottom of the newly installed concrete pavement if not adjusted. We
recommend a similar solution to that of the previous storm issues and potentially install ERCP. However, this
will likely require two new curb inlets on the north and south sides of Corporate Dr. due to the increased width
of the ERCP. I have attached pictures as reference.
We appreciate your careful review and response of this RFI. Please let me know if you have any questions or

10. INFORMATION REQUIRED:
Reytec Construction Resources, Inc.has found a potential conflict with the 30" storm line at STA 15+55 (Inlet
A-6 to Inlet A-7) and the proposed concrete pavement elevation. The 30" RCP line running east from Inlet A-6
to Inlet A-7 has an approximate existing elevation of+/- 35.86'. The new TC elevation at this location is 36.50
which puts the TP elevation at approximately 36.00 and the bottom of the new concrete pavement at 35.33
potentially placing the existing pipe in the new concrete pavement. Additionally, this appears to be a dual pipe
crossing. The drawing indicate a single 30" pipe crossing.
