Upon request, this information can be available in larger print and/or in electronic format. A. Call To Order The meeting was called to order by Jackie McCollough at 12:37 p.m. B. Roll Call C. Public Comment Melissa Nucete commented on the lack of resources between local rescues and ACS. D. Approval of Minutes and Action on Absences 1. Region 11 Zoonosis Report Mr. Skidmore advised the Board there are no new cases in our county to report 4. Mr. Dominguez inquired if the dog adoptions included spay/neutered. Mr. Skidmore advised that most of them are. Mr. Dominguez inquired on the chip implanted for adoptions. Mr. Skidmore advised that at times animals that get adopted already have chips and are not reclaimed by their owners. Ms. McCollough inquired if we microchip the cats as well. Mr. Skidmore advised they are chipped, ear tipped, vaccinated and registered to ACS as a TNR. Mr. Dominguez inquired on a breakdown in the Euthanasia numbers. Mr. Skidmore advised an Open Records Request can be done as well as reviewing CCACS Facebook page. 5. Update: ACS FY23 Work Plan and Strategy Development Mr. Skidmore updated the board on the ACS FY23 Work Plan and Strategy Development. G. Unfinished Business 6. Discussion on results of Subcommittee (Facility Improvement) A motion was made for a final draft to be presented. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously. H. New Business for Discussion and Possible Action 7. Discussion on Rescue Partners with ACS (In State/Out of State) Mr. Skidmore advised research is done on potential rescues and a MOU and 5013c is required. Ms. McCollough requested a list of rescues to assist with research on rescues and transpor 8. Discussion on Historical Data (Hot Spot) Map Mr. Skidmore shared how the map works showing a breakdown in calls by type/district/zip code. Mr. Dominguez inquired if the map used by ACS could be made public. Ms. McCollough inquired how the calls are monitored, worked by ACO's and how they are staffed. Mr. Skidmore advised the Officers to clean in the mornings and go in the field in the afternoon. The priority calls are addressed first. Mr. Skidmore recognized the need for additional kennel techs and positions are being filled. Ms. McCollough made a motion to make a request for the map to be available publicly. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously. Mr. Skidmore will inquire if the request of the board can be granted 9. Future Agenda Items Discussion on possibly Subcommittee for grant research Discussion on expediting ACS service time for calls for service on pet owners that are incapacitated. 11. Next scheduled Advisory Board: May 17th, 2023 J. Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 1:45p.m. All approved, and meeting was adjourned. This meeting may be held via videoconference call pursuant to Texas Government Code § 551.127.
