A. Call To Order
Meeting was Called to order by Melody Cooper at 12:01 PM
B. Roll Call
Staff Liaison Tammy Embrey called the roll and a quorum was present to conduct
business.
Present: 7- Almira Flores, Deacon Marck C.Arnold, Chair Melody H. Cooper, Mirza Pearson,Adria
Vasquez,Arthur Wallace, and Susane"Westi" Horn
Absent: 2- Vice Chair Luis F. Cabrera, and Valerie Harbolovic

D. Approval of Minutes and Action on Absences
22-1721 Approval of Minutes for the September 12, 2022 Regular Meeting
Motion was made by Mirza Pearson to approve the minutes with a second from Susane
Horn. The motion was approved unanimously.
E. Committee Reports
22-1726 Student Exchange Program- Luis Cabrera/Almira Flores/Susanne Horn/Valerie

A brief discussion was held over the last subcommittee meeting and Tammy let the group
know that legal is reviewing the application.

Plans for upcoming visit from Agen France
Melody Cooper led a discussion over the upcomign French delegation visit. The Agen

Mayor is not going to make the trip and we need to obtain the name of who will represent
him on the trip. Tammy provided an update on the call between Mayor Guajardo and the
Mayor of Agen.Potential Sponsorships for the delegation visit was discussed along with
what follow ups are needed. The program and other documents were reviewed and
disussed along with what follow ups still need to occur before the trip.

A motion to adjourn was made by Mirza Pearson to Adjourn and seconded by Adria
Vasquez. The motion passed unanimously.
This meeting may be held via videoconference call pursuant to Texas
Government Code § 551.127. If this meeting is held via videoconference call or
other remote method of meeting, then a member of this governmental body
presiding over this meeting will be physically present at the location of this
meeting unless this meeting is held pursuant to Texas Government Code §
551.125 due to an emergency or other public necessity pursuant to Texas
Government Code § 551.045.
