Upon request, this information can be available in larger print and/or in electronic format. A. Call To Order The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hicks at 3:30 p.m. B. Roll Call Roll was called and a quorum was present. Present: 11 - Paul A. Cameron Jr., Hans Schumann, John LaRue, Kusumakar Sooda, Rosie Collin, Rick Barrera, Brett Oetting, Jeremy Taylor, Randall Hicks, Rey Saenz, and Jon Reily Absent: 2- Mike Culbertson, and Ricardo Talavera C. Public Comment There was no public comment. D. Approval of Minutes and Action on Absences 1. 23-1078 Approval of the Absences for the May 31 st 2023 Regular Airport Board Meeting Attachments: 2023 AIRPORT BOARD ATTENDANCE Chairman Hicks made a motion to excuse Board Member Schumann from the May 31 st Regular Airport Board Meeting. First Vice-chairman LaRue seconded and the motion carried. 2. 23-1079 Approval of the Minutes for the May 31 st 2023 Regular Airport Board Meeting Attachments: 05312023- May Airport Board Minutes- Unpublished Chairman Hicks called for a motion to approve the meeting minutes of the May 31 st Regular Airport Board Meeting as written. Board member Cameron seconded and the motion carried. E. New Business for Discussion and Possible Action 3. 23-1080 Introduction of the Airport's Interim Assistant City Manager, Heather Hurlbert Airport Director Kevin Smith introduced the Airport's newly assigned Assistant City Manager, Heather Hurlburt. Ms. Hurlburt gave the members a brief overview of her experience and background. 4. 23-1081 Presentation and Discussion of Airport FY24 Budget Priorities/Requests Airport Finance Manager, Kimberly Miller, presented to the members the Airport's presentation shown to City Council regarding the FY24 Budget Priorities/Requests. Mrs. Miller covered the Airport's overview which included revenue & expenditures; inventory of services; as well as, Airport improvements and upgrades. Discussion was heard on this item. 5. 23-1082 Presentation and Discussion of Airport Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Proposed 5-Year Budget Attachments: 06282023- Proposed 5-yr CIP Budget Airport Deputy Director, Tyler Miller, gave a presentation on the Airport's Capital Improvement Program's proposed 5-year budget. He discussed both short range and long range CIP projects. He reviewed eleven (11) proposed projects for the next five years. There was discussion on this item. F. Staff Reports 6. 23-1083 JumpStart Conference Update Attachments: 06282023-Jumpstart Conf Airport Director Smith updated the board members of his attendance of the 2023 JumpStart Conference earlier this month. He recounted his experience in presenting a video to the attending airlines which was prepared in conjunction with the Visit Corpus Christi organization. He also discussed his meeting with Silver Airways. Discussion was heard on this item. 7. 23-1084 American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) 2023 Conference Update Attachments: 06282023-AAAE 2023 Conference Airport Deputy Director Miller updated the members on his attendance of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) 2023 Annual Conference. He stated the topics of discussion were airport ethics, environmental issues, industry trends, best practices, common problems and solutions to those problems. He also announced he will be serving as the Vice-chairman for the National Airports conference this September City of Corpus Christi Page 2 Printed on 7/27/2023 Airport Board Meeting Minutes -Final June 28,2023 in Spokane, Washington and in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2024. Discussion was heard on this item. 8. 23-1085 Marketing & Fly Local Campaign Update Attachments: 06282023- Marketing Report Noemi Perez, temporarily assisting with marketing duties, updated the members on the "Fly Local" Campaign; the Airport's social media performance; and also included past and upcoming Airport marketing events. Discussion was heard on this item. 9. 23-1086 Procurement Update Airport Deputy Director Miller updated the members on several Airport procurement items. Discussion was heard on this item. 10. 23-1087 General Activity Report (GAR) Attachments: 06282023-GAR- PKT Airport Director Smith presented the members with the General Activity Report for the month of May, 2023. He stated that both enplanements and deplanements are up. Discussion was heard on this item. 11. 23-1088 Financial Report Attachments: 06282023- Financial Reports Airport Finance Manager Miller reported to the members on the Airport's financials for the month of May, 2023. She began with Parking Operations which has increased 12% from the previous month. She also stated that Food & Beverage Concessions were up 3% from last month. Discussion was heard on this item. 12. 23-1089 Construction Report Attachments: 06282023-CONSTRUCTION REPORT Deputy Director Miller updated the members on the progress of several on-going projects at the Airport including the terminal front overhang cleaning, as well as, the terminal patio construction and the completion of the roof rehabilitation. Discussion was heard on this item. G. Future Agenda Items No future agenda items were provided. H.
