G. Presentations Billy Delgado - Emergency Management Coordinator gave a presentation on hurricane preparedness. H. Staff Reports Neighborhood Services - 1 complaint received of an ADA parking space at a McDonalds being covered by a billboard. Will give update at next Month's meeting. Development Services - No report/update Engineering Services - Mai - Flour Bluff Dr sidewalks are being constructed and existing sidewalks are being widened from Don Patricio to Yorktown. Will also come with curb ramps this includes 1,100 feet of sidewalk. A pedestrian bridge will be going in off of Division to connect to Holly Rd across the Oso. A crosswalk is also being installed at Purdue and Flour Bluff drive. Parks & Recreations Dept. - Lisa Oliver- Digital Summer Guide is up on the Parks and Rec website. Water's Edge Summer Music Series, Friday to Saturday beginning at 4 pm. Will have food trucks at Water's Edge Park along with various music performance. Bay Jammin will take place on Thursdays at Cole Park. Bill Witt is getting a splash pad upgrade to include a 0 degree entrance. Will begin construction this month and will take one year to complete. Cole Park and Salinas Parks will also be getting splash pad upgrades. Lighting was fixed at Salinas Park and the concrete fixed the pathway. Sherwood Park is getting a dog park along with West Guth. CCPD Parking Enforcement - Ricardo Rodriguez - 108 citations given for parking in ADA spaces, 6 for blocking architecture, and 43 for blocking sidewalks. New hires will begin Tuesday. I. Committee Liaison Report Departmental Changes- Neighborhood Services has changed their names as of June 1 to Planning and Community Development Bylaws- New Bylaws reflecting department name change will be handed out to committee members at next month's meeting. T-shirts -Were delivered to committee members, Dr. Tower will be receiving hers shortly. J. Chairperson's Report Closed-Captioning Project - Still want to push the use of Closed-Captions in area businesses so it doesn't seem that the city is mandating closed caption. To focus on bringing awareness, it is suggested that the information go out as a PSA. PSA was discussed for the week of July 14 and to include a weeks worth (5) of PSA's. Will vote in July. Protected Bike Paths - Discussion conducted concerning specific language of the resolution, removing a clause from the opening statement to coincide with the removal of section 3. Adding the words, but not limited to before the listing of streets in section 2. Angela Brengman moved to approved as amended, seconded by Olivia Allen. K. Subcommittee Reports Subcommittees were instructed to begin meeting L. Individual Voting Items for Consideration 2. 23-0981 Bike Path Resolution with Edit Suggestions from City Staff Attachments: Protected Bike Paths Resolution-City Staff Edits Removing a clause from the opening statement to coincide with the removal of section 3. Adding the words, but not limited to before the listing of streets in section 2. Approved as amended. M. Future Agenda Items Voting on PSA social media campaign. N. Adjournment Meeting adjourned at 4:30 pm. This meeting may be held via videoconference call pursuant to Texas Government Code § 551.127. If this meeting is held via videoconference call or other remote method of meeting, then a member of this governmental body presiding over this meeting will be physically present at the location of this meeting unless this meeting is held pursuant to Texas Government Code § 551.125 due to an emergency or other public necessity pursuant to Texas Government Code § 551.045.
