Immunization/Locals (IMM/LOCALS) Grant for $241,637.00 from the
Department of State Health Services (DSHS); and appropriating $241,637.00
in the Health Grant Fund to implement and operate an immunization program
for children, adolescents, and adults for the period September 1, 2023,
through August 31, 2024; and appropriating related program income in the
estimated amount of $20,000.00 in the Health Grants Fund; and authorizing
four grant positions.
Whereas, the Texas Department of State Health Services has awarded an
$241,637.00 through Contract No. HHS001331300011 to implement and operate an
immunization program for children, adolescents, and adults, with special emphasis on
accelerating interventions to improve the immunization coverage of children three (3)
years of age or younger.
Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, that:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute all documents
necessary to accept Immunization/Locals (IMM/LOCALS) Grant from the Department of
State Health Services ("DSHS") to implement and operate an immunization program for
children, adolescents, and adults, with special emphasis on accelerating interventions to
improve the immunization coverage of children three years of age or younger for the
period of September 1, 2023, through August 31, 2024.
SECTION 2. Funds in the amount of $241,637.00 are appropriated in the Health Grants
Fund No. 1066 to implement and operate an immunization program for children,
adolescents, and adults, with special emphasis on accelerating interventions to improve
the immunization coverage of children three years of age or younger.
SECTION 3. IMM/LOCALS grant program revenue in the amount of $20,000.00 is
appropriated in the Health Grants Fund 1066 to implement and operate an immunization
program for children, adolescents, and adults, with special emphasis on accelerating
interventions to improve the immunization coverage of children three years of age or
younger.
SECTION 4. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute any future
amendments to the Contract which extend the contract period or increase or decrease
the amount of the grant.
SECTION 5 . A copy of the executed health grant contract and amendments shall be filed
in the office of the City Secretary.
