Roll Call Present: 7- Vice Chair Charles Pendlyshok, Curt Broomfield,John Wood, John Murray,Alyssa B. Mason, Richard E. Bell, and Robert Kelley Excused: 2- Marcus Veazey, and Don Dunlap C. Public Comment n/a D. Approval of Minutes and Action on Absences The minutes were approved. 1. 23-1333 Minutes for the July 10th special meeting Attachments: MACMinsJu123 E. Committee Reports n/a F. Director's Report Mr. Atwood advised in his director's report that the kickoff meeting for the Marina Master Plan was held July 17th and input sessions will be scheduled for September. EDSA will do a public survey then another input session in late October. On August 15th Mr. Atwood will go before City Council to provide an update on the next 5 years' worth of marina projects. The annual Navy Regatta saw about a 50% increase in participation among service members and boaters. 2. 23-1339 Monthly Report Attachments: Corpus Christi Marina MAC Monthly Report G. Unfinished Business City of Corpus Christi Page 1 Printed on 9/12/2023 Marina Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes -Final August 7,2023 3. 23-1334 Capital Improvement Projects Update Mr. Atwood provided updates on Capital Improvement Projects. The notice to proceed with the L, A, and B pier project was sent to Kallum Marine on August 7th. Phase One is the demolition of A and B piers, dredging, and building L, A, and B piers. An official timeline for the project will be available in the next 3 weeks. The Coopers Alley boater's facility and haul out facility 30% design plans should be ready to share with MAC at the September meeting. The 100% submittal for the Peoples Street boardwalk design has been received and we are waiting on Harrison's Landing to finalize their project before moving forward. 4. 23-1335 Fuel Station Update Per Mr. Atwood Contracts and Procurement is still working on the RFP for a fuel station. Mr. Murray is doing the groundwork for a fuel supplier. The major issues continue to be insurance and liability, spill prevention, and transportation costs. 5. 23-1336 Traffic Safety Update Renee Couture, the assistant director of Public Works provided the marina with a new LED stop sign on Peoples Street. Mr. Atwood advised we are waiting for a new one-way sign. The marina will be able to install rubber speed humps after the paving project is complete. Mr. Broomfield suggested CCPD put an Eye in the Sky system on Peoples Street, Mr. Atwood will inquire with PD. H. New Business for Discussion and Possible Action 6. 23-1338 Bay Yacht Club Vice Commodore for the Bay Yacht Club, Jim Robertson, gave a small presentation on the Bay Yacht Club. Established in 1971, BYC is a 501 C 7 social club with emphasis on sailing. They collaborate with CCYC and Morf to host races all year round. Their clubhouse is a 90' motor vessel moored on E pier in the marina. I. Future Agenda Items Abandoned boats, RTA water taxi J.
