A. Call To Order
The meeting was called to order by Jarvis Amaya at 12:31 p.m.

D. Approval of Minutes and Action on Absences
1. 23-1346 Adoption of Minutes - Regular Meeting - 19 July 2023
There was a motion to approve. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
2. 23-1347 Approval of Absences from 19 July 2023
Jarvis Amaya, Michelle King. There was a motion to approve. The motion was seconded
and passed unanimously.

Joel Skidmore advised there was nothing new or any changes to report for Nueces
County.
4. 23®1344 Monthly Shelter Report and Clinic Report
Joel Skidmore went over the June 2022/2023 Comparison Shelter report. The Board
inquired on the decreased number of citations issued in 2023 compared to 2022. Mr.
Skidmore explained it may have been we did not come across the violation or that more
citizens are in compliance. Mr. Parrott added that several citizens/animals were assisted
in becoming in compliance with the Access to Care and Pet Retention programs with
rescue partners. Mr. Skidmore advised the board that the GIS tool is currently unavailable
to the public. Ms. King expressed concern on how the live release stats are being
portrayed on social media in comparison to what is being presented on the shelter
report.

• Discussion on Euthanasia policy/selection
• Discussion on Intact permit and community notification for the new ordinance

status
