The committee for persons with disabilities is hereby established for the purpose of

private facilities available within the community. (Ord. No. 24364, § 1, 2-13-2001)

A motion was made that the Minutes be approved. The motion carried by a
unanimous vote.

Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing presentlion postponed to next month.

A motion was made that the Annual Report be approved. The motion carried by a
unanimous vote.
H. Staff Reports
Planning & Community Development - Parking lot on North Beach is getting redone
and will be done within 10 days; Baker Middle School issue was sent to Public Works
Dept.
Developmental Service - No report/update
Engineering Services - No report/update
Parks & Rec- No report/update
CCPD- December totals: Disabled Parking 58; Blocking Architect 1; Blocking
Sidewalk 29
I. Committee Liaison Report
The vacancy was taken to Council but did not pass due to not enough votes to break
a tie. The vacancy will be taken back to Council at a later date.
J. Chair Person's Report
Chairperson discussed future events to be added to the event calendar.
Further discussion about the roles of the vice chair and taking future
recommendations to fill that seat.
Discussed resolution for accessible sidewalks
K. Subcommittee Reports
ARP subcommittee-no report
CVI Subcommittee-no report
PSA Subcommittee- promote one PSA a quarter. Discuss starting with "Closed
Captioning" and creating a flyer to promote with information on "how to turn on CC".
Vice chair to share notes with chair on how to write a PSA.
