Meeting called to order by Luis Cabrera at 12 noon

Veracruz - Chair gave update on the call between Mayor Guajardo and Mayor of
Veracruz. Invitation for SCI Summit in San Antonio was delivered. Mayor Guajardo
introduced the idea of having a Veracruz delegation visit Corpus Christi in September
2024. A written invitation will follow as soon as the committee determines the agenda
for such a meeting. Next Veracruz subcommittee meeting will be January 19th.
Fundraiser - Committee discussed the piano need for the FR and that private funds
would need to be used to secure the deposit. The FR is moving forward.
Agen - Delegates will provide written outlines of their presentation for Agen and staff
will view the film offering. Staff will send out the dates and times for the trip so that
delegates can make their own travel arrangements

Student Exchange - Deadline is still January 15th. Interviews will be the following
Sunday at Galvan House. Committee members will re-circulate promotions of the
exchange program with the schools.
F. Staff Reports
Staff gave a report on possible gift options for Agen and offered a tentative budget for
the SCI Summit in San Antonio. Budget was approved by committee and must still be
approved by the Mayor.
