Upon request, this information can be available in larger print and/or in electronic format. A. Call To Order The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. B. Roll Call C. Public Comment Marina tenants Jesse Splawn and Andy Horner made public comments about their concern for the dangerous traffic on the Peoples Street T-head. They've requested speed bumps, Corpus Christi Police Department presence during high traffic times, or a park curfew. D. Approval of Minutes and Action on Absences 1. 24-0235 Minutes for the January 8th special meeting. Attachments: MACMinsJan24 The minutes were approved without revision. E. Committee Reports n/a F. Director's Report Marina manager Jonathan Atwood advised the City's Gas Department has some jurisdiction over gas and oil wells in the bay and conduct periodic inspections. The Texas Railroad Commission has primary jurisdiction over them. Upcoming events include the Cruise to Port A on February 23rd and the MORF Icicle series. 2. 24-0236 January 2024 Director's report Attachments: Monthly Report Jan 24 G. Unfinished Business Mr. Atwood advised we received no responses to the Fuel Station RFP and he will consider opening it back up. City of Corpus Christi Page 1 Printed on 311112024 Marina Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes -Final February 5,2024 3. 24®0237 Capital Improvement Projects Update Mr. Atwood updated the committee on the department's Capital Improvement Projects. Mr. Atwood advised the construction company removed 7 pilings over the weekend, each taking an hour to remove. Hopefully dredging will begin on February 19th. The Coopers Alley boater's facility is at 60% design. Mr. Atwood met with the City's Water Department about replacing 2 lines when the project is in progress. This could possibly delay the project. The haul out facility 60% design plan should be turned in soon. We are still waiting for a Corps of Engineers permit to begin the Peoples Street Boardwalk project, but it should go to bid by the end of February. Mr. Atwood receives biweekly updates on the master plan. City Council will need to approve the final plan and individual projects within the plan can go to public voting for funding. H. New Business for Discussion and Possible Action 4. 24®0238 Introduction of New Committee Member New Marina Advisory Committee member Steven Indrelunas introduced himself to the committee. Mr. Indrelunas has been a marina tenant for the last 12 years and has 60 years of boating experience under his belt. 5. 24®0239 Goals for 2024 The MAC's goals for 2024 are to address and prioritize the fuel station, breakwater, law enforcement presence in the marina, put together a marketing and communications plan, discuss a diffusion system, security cameras, traffic safety, funding for future projects, planning for the Illuminated Boat Parade, and a committee retreat. Mr. Atwood would like to share the finished master plan and how it will be implemented. I. Future Agenda Items Vote for chairperson and vice chairperson, navigational aids, traffic safety, and the fuel station. J.
