Agreement with Freese and Nichols for pre -construction phase
services for the Inner Harbor Seawater Desalination Treatment Plant
Project in the amount of $12,000,000.00, for a total contract value not
to exceed $21,033,994.00, with funding available from the State Water
Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT).
Whereas, by Ordinance No. 031287, City Council authorized a Master
Services Agreement (MSA) with Freese and Nichols on November 7, 2017, to
provide Owner's Representative Services for Project E15117 Seawater
Desalination. The MSA was for two years with two one-year renewals for a total
contract value not to exceed $5,254,000.
Whereas, MSA Amendment No. 1 to extend the contract term by five years
for $0 was executed on May 11, 2021.
Whereas, by Ordinance No. 033273, City Council authorized MSA
Amendment No. 2 to add the procurement scope of work for $3,779,994 on
January 30, 2024.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute amendments to the
master professional services contract with Freese and Nichols for the Inner Harbor
Seawater Desalination Treatment Plant Project in the amount of $12,000,000 for a total
contract value not to exceed $21,033,994.00.
