Beach Watch Program Grant for $140,000.00 from the Texas General
Land Office (GLO) to provide beach water sampling in Nueces,
Aransas, and San Patricio County under the Texas Beach Watch
Program for the period of September 1, 2024, through August 31, 2025;
and authorizing one existing FTE that is funded by this grant and
appropriating $140,000.00 in the Health Grant Fund.
Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, that:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute all documents
necessary to enter into GLO Contract No. 25-018-000-E709 with the Texas General Land
Office (GLO) for an amount not to exceed $140,000 to provide beach water sampling in
Nueces, Aransas, and San Patricio counties under the Texas Beach Watch Program for
the period September 1, 2024, through August 31, 2025, with two one-year options.
SECTION 2. Funds in the amount of $140,000.00 are appropriated from the grant to the
Health Grants Fund No. 1066 to provide beach water sampling in Nueces, Aransas, and
San Patricio counties under the Texas Beach Watch Program for the period September
1, 2024, through August 31, 2025; and authorizing one existing FTE.
SECTION 3. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute any future options
or amendments to the Contract that extend the contract period or increase or decrease
the amount of compensation.
SECTION 4. A copy of the executed health grant contract and amendments shall be filed
in the office of the City Secretary.
