one civilian position in the Corpus Christi Police Department's Family
Violence Unit, with a City cash match of $21,752.84 and $9,910.00 for
in -kind services.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council authorizes submission of the grant application to the State
of Texas Criminal Justice Division in the amount of $69,606.43 for funding available under
the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Fund for the salary and benefits of one civilian
position in the Corpus Christi Police Department.
SECTION 2. The City Council commits to provide for the applicate City match of
$21,752.84 cash and $9,910.00 in -kind services.
SECTION 3. The City Council designates the Chief of Police as the grantee's authorized
official. The authorized official may apply for, accept, reject, alter, or terminate the grant.
SECTION 4. In the event of the loss or misuse of the State of Texas funds, the City of
Corpus Christi assures that the funds will be returned to the State of Texas in full.

I, the Director of the Finance & Procurement Department of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas (or his/her

money required for the current fiscal year's portion of the contract, agreement, obligation or
expenditure described above is in the Treasury to the credit of the Fund specified above, from which it
is to be drawn, and has not been appropriated for any other purpose. Future payments are subject
to annual appropriation by the City Council.
