BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council authorizes submission of the grant application in the
amount of $333,004.16 to the State of Texas under the Victims of Crime Act for salaries
and benefits for five civilian positions for the Corpus Christi Police Department's Victim
Assistance Program.
SECTION 2. The City Council commits to provide for the applicable cash match
contribution of $53,803.04, and $29,448.00 with in -kind services, to fund the salaries and
benefits for five civilian positions.
SECTION 3. The City Council designates the Chief of Police or designee as Program
Director, the grantee's authorized official. The authorized official(s) may apply for, accept,
reject, alter, or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.
SECTION 4. In the event of loss or misuse of these funds, the City of Corpus Christi
assures that the funds will be retuned to the State of Texas, Office of the Criminal Justice
Division in full.
