The mission of the Business & Job Development (Type A) and B Corporations is to
promote and enhance the City of Corpus Christi's economic base by supporting
projects and programs that create primary jobs, improve small business and affordable
housing opportunities, and improve infrastructure in our City.
A. President Alan Wilson to call the meeting to order.
President Alan Wilson called the meeting to order at 2:18 p.m.
B. CaII Roll:
City Secretary Rebecca Huerta called the roll and verified that a quorum of the Board
was present to conduct the meeting.
Present: 5 - Vice -President Diana Summers, President Alan Wilson, Board Member Mark LaRue,
Board Member Johnny Philipello and Board Member Victoria Holland
Absent: 2 - Secretary Jesus Jimenez and Board Member Vishnu Reddy
C. PUBLIC COMMENT:
President Wilson referred to Public Comment. There were no comments from the public.
D. MINUTES / EXCUSE ABSENCES
1. 24-1943 Approval of Minutes for the Type A Board November 11, 2024 Regular Meeting.
President Wilson referred to Item 1. Ms. Summers made a motion to approve the
minutes as presented, seconded by Ms. Holland, and passed unanimously.

I. PRESENTATION ITEMS:
2. 25-0112 Engineering Services Quarterly Project Update for Type A
President Wilson referred to Item 2. Director of Engineering Services Jeffrey Edmonds
presented the Engineering Services quarterly updates.
Mr. Edmonds presented an update on the following projects: Marina Piers ABCD&L
Replacement and Dredging; Industrial Park Roadway Improvements; Marina -Peoples
Boardwalk; Marina -Boat Haul -Out Facility; Marina -Coopers Boat Facility; Flood Wall
Upgrades at Science Museum; McGee Beach Breakwater Renovations Phase 2;
Seawall Capital Repairs; Harbor Point East Connectivity Project; Arena City Terrace and
Suite Enhancements; Arena Deferred Life Safety Improvements; Arena Exterior
Improvements; Arena HVAC Improvements; Arena Fire Alarm System Upgrade; Arena
Rehabilitation and Improvements; Arena Roof Replacement; Arena Spotlight Platform;
Art Museum HVAC System Improvements;Harbor Playhouse - Improvements (Design);
Harbor Playhouse HVAC System Improvements; Museum of Science & History -
Improvements (Design); and Museum of Science & History - HVAC Improvements.
Board Members and Mr. Edmonds discussed the following topics: whether there will be a
claw back for the difference between the project contract and the budget; requested to
add the design line items to help reconcile the difference; scoring of bids received and
whether there is any emphasis given towards local employers or if a an employer is not
based in the city how many Corpus Christi residents are employed full time; the purpose
of the breakwater; and if changes have been made to the landscape to be more drought
tolerant at the American Bank Center.
3. 25-0116 Update on the Sales Tax Reauthorization
President Wilson referred to Item 2. Director of Economic Development Arturo Marquez
presented an update on the Sales Tax Reauthorization.
Mr. Marquez presented the following: Current Use of Sales Tax; Proposition E; and
Proposition F.
Board Members, Assistant City Manager Heather Hurlbert and Mr. Marquez discussed
the following topics: Proposition F Purpose 2 are not exclusive to the project listed,
however Purpose 1 are exclusive to listed categories.
J. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR COMMENTS:
President Wilson referred to the Executive Director comments. City Manager Peter

There being no further business, President Wilson adjourned the meeting at 2:49 p.m.
This meeting may be held via videoconference call pursuant to Texas Government Code § 551.127. If this meeting is held via
videoconference call or other remote method of meeting, then a member of this governmental body presiding over this
meeting will be physically present at the location of this meeting unless this meeting is held pursuant to Texas Government
Code § 551.125 due to an emergency or other public necessity pursuant to Texas Government Code § 551.045.
