A RESOLUTION FORMALLY AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF
TWELVE THOUSAND TVIO HUNDRED SEVENTY-ONE AND 67/100
012,271.67) DOLLARS FROM FUNDS OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI OTHER THAN THE CONSTRUCTION FUND OF
THE PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATION PROJECT NO. 8864, CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT AND
SEWER EXTENSIONS INTO THE CONSTRUCTION FUND OF THE
PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATION PROJECT NO. 8864, CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT AND
SEWER EXTENSIONS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of April, 1936, the City of Corpus Christi, from its
own funds, deposited the sum of Two Thousand ($2,000.00) Dollars in what is known and
designated as the Construction Fund of the Public Works Administration Project No. 8864, City
of CorpusChristi, Texas Sewage Treatment Plant and Sewer Extensions; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi, on various dates from and -including the
21st day of August, 1935 to the 31st day of March, 1936, from its other funds, expended
the sum of Nine Hundred Eighty 0980.00) Dollars for preliminary expense on Public Works
Administration Project No. 8864, City of Corpus Christi, Texas Sewage Treatment Plant and
Sewer Extensions; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi, from its other funds, on various dates
from and including the 14th day of March, 1936 to the llth day of December, 1936, expended
the sum of Seven Thousand One Hundred Sixty -Five ($7,165.00) Dollars for the purpose of
acquiring easements, right of way, and fee simple title to real estate for Public Works
Administration Project No. 8864, City of Corpus Christi, Texas Sewage Treatment Plant and
Sewer Extensions; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi from its other funds, on the 27th day of
August, 1936, expended Two Thousand One Hundred Twenty -Six and 67/100 ($2,126.67)
Dollars for the purpose of paying interest during construction on the bonded debt for
Public Works Administration Project No. 8864, City of Corpus Christi, Texas Sewage Treatment
Plant and Sewer Extensions; and,

WHEREAS, the total of such sures so enumerated is Twelve Thousand Two Hundred
Seventy -One and 67/100 (012,271.67) Dollars; and,
WHEREAS, such sum should have been formally placed in the Construction Fund
of the Public Works Administration Project No. 8864, City of Corpus Christi, Texas Sewage
Treatment Plant and Sewer Extensions; and,
WHEREAS, such total sum of Twelve Thousand Two Hundred Seventy -One and 67/100
(012,271.67) Dollars was not formally placed in such fund:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI:
SECTION 1: That the sum of Twelve Thousand Two Hundred Seventy -One and
67/100 (012,271,;67) Dollars, made up of the items hereinabove enumerated, be formally
transferred into the Construction Fund of the Public Works Administration Project No. 8864,
City of Corpus Christi, Texas Sewage Treatment Plant and Sewer Extensions.
SECTION 2: The public importance of this Resolution creates a public emergency
and a public imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule providing
that ho Ordinance or Resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced,
and that such Ordinance or Resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council,
and that the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and imperative necessity
exists, and requests that said Charter 'rule be suspended,,and that this Resolution take
effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, and IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO
ORDAINED.

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing Resolution,
a public emergency and an imperative public necessity exists for the suspension of the
Charter Rule or requirement that no Ordinance or Resolution shall be passed finally on
the date it is introduced, and that such Ordinance or Resolution shall be.read at three
several meetings of the City Council, I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said
Charter Rule or requirement and pass this Resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City L'ouncil.
