use of property tax exemptions by the Corpus Christi Housing
Authority, affiliates, and entities connected thereto.
Whereas, the Corpus Christi Housing Authority has engaged in the improper and/or
illegal use of property tax exemptions.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to use all administrative, legal,
and legislative means to prevent the improper and/or illegal use of property tax
exemptions by the Corpus Christi Housing Authority, affiliates, and entities connected
thereto.
Section 2. The City Manager or designee is authorized to hire private legal counsel and
other professional services to prevent the improper and/or illegal use of property tax
exemptions by the Corpus Christi Housing Authority, affiliates, and entities connected
thereto.
Section 3. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute an agreement with
affected government entities to share costs and combine efforts, including possible
participation in a collective action.
Section 4. The City Manager or designee is authorized to pursue recovery of any owed
revenues that are or were unpaid.
