with Grail, Inc., of Menlo Park, California, for Galleri multi -cancer
early detection tests for the Corpus Christi Fire Department in an
amount not to exceed $311,520.00, with FY 2025 funding of
$233,640.00 from the General Fund.
WHEREAS, the collective bargaining agreement between the City of Corpus
Christi and the Corpus Christi Professional Firefighters Association includes providing
multi -cancer early detection testing;
WHEREAS, it has been determined that these testing services are available from
the firm indicated in the caption as being necessary and prudent; and
WHEREAS, State law exempts professional services from statutory procurement
requirements pursuant to Local Government Code, Section 252.022(a)(4).
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas:
Section 1. The City Council specifically finds that the foregoing statements included in
the preamble of this resolution are true and correct and adopts such findings for all intents
and purposes related to the authorization of this procurement.
Section 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute a two-year
agreement with Grail, Inc., for multi -cancer early detection tests in an amount not to
exceed $311,520.00, with FY 2025 funding of $233,640.00 from the General Fund.
