the Department of State Health Services to enhance and expand Laboratory
Information Management System infrastructure through November 30, 2027;
and appropriating $250,000.00 in the Health Grant Fund.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute all documents
necessary to execute Contract No. HHS001593800001 (the "Contract") between the
Department of State Health Services ("DSHS") and Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public
Health District for a grant in the amount of $250,000.00, effective from execution of
Contract, through November 30, 2027, to provide Laboratory Information Management
System infrastructure through November 30, 2027.
SECTION 2. Funds in the amount of $250,000.00 are appropriated in the Health Grants
Fund No. 1066 to enhance and expand Laboratory Information Management System
infrastructure through November 30, 2027.
SECTION 3. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute any future
amendments to the Contract that extend the contract period or increase or decrease the
amount of the grant.
SECTION 4. A copy of the executed health grant contract and amendments shall be filed
in the office of the City Secretary.
SECTION 5. In the event of the loss or misuse of these DSHS funds, the City assures
the funds will be returned to the funding agency in accordance with the applicable
requirements.
