BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. City Manager or designee is authorized to execute a 20-year lease
agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for 2.7896 acres of land at the
Corpus Christi International Airport for the operation of an Airport Surveillance Rada
(ASR), in consideration for of the obligations assumed by the FAA in its establishment,
operation, and maintenance of the ASR.
SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, or
word of this ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of
competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council
that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance be
given full force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 3. Publication of this ordinance must be made in the official publication for the
City of Corpus Christi as required by the City Charter.
SECTION 4. The lease take effect on October 1, 2025, which is at least 61 days following
final approval by City Council.
