HomeMy WebLinkAbout033728 RES - 09/02/2025Resolution rejecting the apparent low bids of Big Wreckless Dreams, LLC, and of Los Dos Compadres, LLC, both of Corpus Christi, as non- responsive and authorizing a one-year service agreement, with two one-year renewals, with Autoworks Unlimited, LLC, of Corpus Christi, in an amount not to exceed $395,000.00, with a potential amount up to $1,185,000.00 if all options are exercised, for body and emergency equipment repairs, including radios and in -car cameras, for Corpus Christi Police Department vehicles, with FY 2025 funding of $65,833.33. WHEREAS, the City solicited bids through Request for Bids No. 6361 ("RFB 6361") for a one-year agreement, with two one-year renewals, for body and emergency equipment repairs for Police vehicles; WHEREAS, the apparent low bidder of RFB 6361, Big Wreckless Dreams, LLC, did not have the required years in business, and a second bidder, Los Dos Compadres, LLC, did not have the required certifications necessary to repair Police communications equipment; WHEREAS, the lowest responsive, responsible bidder was disqualified due to not having the required years, and the second bidder was disqualified due to not having the required certifications; and WHEREAS, the apparent low bid submitted by Big Wreckless Dreams, LLC, is rejected as non -responsive, and a second bidder, Los Dos Compadres, LLC, is rejected as non -responsive for not meeting the necessary certification requirement. Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas: Section 1. The City Council specifically finds that the foregoing statements included in the preamble of this resolution are true and correct and adopts such findings for all intents and purposes related to the authorization of this procurement. Section 2. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to execute all documents necessary to secure a one-year service agreement, with two one-year options, with Autoworks Unlimited, LLC, of Corpus Christi, in an amount up to $395,000.00, with a potential total up to $1,185,000.00 if the options are exercised, with FY 2025 funding of $65,833.33 from the General Fund.
