TO THE
SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT FY2025-PY2024
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROJECT
This First Amendment ("First Amendment") is made by and between the City of Corpus
Christi, Planning & Community Development Department ("PCDD") and the
Salvation Army, a Georgia Corporation ("Subrecipient") of the City of Corpus Christi
("City").
WHEREAS, PCDD and the Subrecipient executed an agreement ("Agreement"), which
was approved by the City Council for the purpose of utilizing the City's FY2025-PY2024
Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Program funds for a project entitled The
Salvation Army Facility Improvements ("Project").
WHEREAS, the parties desire to execute this First Amendment to express their mutual
desire to reaffirm all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement
and to extend the Project Completion Date to February 28, 2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereto mutually agree as follows:
Section 1. By execution of this instrument, the parties agree to reaffirm and continue in
force all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement, as may have
been previously modified, and as further amended by the execution of this First
Amendment.
Section 2. Article I, Section 1.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
termination date of "September 30, 2025" and inserting the date "February 28, 2026."
Section 3. Article III, Section 3.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the date
"September 30, 2025" and inserting the date "February 28, 2026."
Section 4. Article VI, Section 6.1 , of the Agreement is amended by deleting the date
"August 31, 2025" and inserting the date "February 28, 2026."
Section 5. By execution of this First Amendment, the parties agree to revise and extend
the project compliance and term dates stated in the original Agreement. All other terms,
conditions, and covenants of the Agreement not changed by this First Amendment remain
the same and in full force and effect.
