water to South Texas Water Authority
Whereas, on September 10, 1980, the City of Corpus Christi Texas through City Council
Ordinance 15749 authorized an Agreement with South Texas Water Authority ("STWA") for
the sale of treated water to South Texas Water Authority, ("the Agreement");
Whereas, the price for treated water was modified by the Settlement Agreement between
the parties effective August 13, 2013 in the case San Patricio Municipal Water District and
South Texas Water Authority v. City of Corpus Christi Cause No. 08-5366-G in the 319th
Judicial District of Nueces County Texas, ("the Settlement Agreement");
Whereas, the parties have acknowledged that the term of the Agreement continues through
December 31, 2025;
Whereas, STWA has requested a three-year extension of the Agreement effective January 1,
2026;
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas:
Section 1. The Agreement with South Texas Water Authority for the sale of treated water to
South Texas Water Authority, as was modified by the Settlement Agreement referenced
herein, is hereby extended for an additional three years effective January 1, 2026. A copy of
the document to acknowledge the extension is attached for signatures by the parties.
This Arpsolution takes effect upon City Council approval on this the 1 eh day of
NUMV`^, 2025.

EXTENSION TO THE WATER CONTRACT FOR SALE OF TREATED WATER TO
SOUTH TEXAS WATER AUTHORITY
Whereas, on September 10, 1980, the City of Corpus Christi, Texas through City Council
Ordinance 15749, authorized an Agreement with South Texas Water Authority ("STWA") for the
sale of treated water to South Texas Water Authority, ("the Agreement");
Whereas, Section 7 of the Agreement regarding the price of treated water was modified per the
Settlement Agreement between the parties effective August 13, 2013 in the case San Patricio
Municipal Water District and South Texas Water Authority v. City of Corpus Christi Cause No.
08-5366-G in the 319th Judicial District of Nueces County Texas, ("the Settlement Agreement");
Whereas, STWA has submitted a request to extend the term of the Agreement for three additional
years to be effective January 1, 2026;
NOW, THEREFORE, South Texas Water Authority and the City of Corpus Christi, Texas
agree as follows:
I.
That Agreement, as modified by the Settlement Agreement, is extended through December
31, 2028.
