Texas Parks & Wildlife Department under its Boating Access Grant
Program in the amount of $250,000.00 with a required City match of
25% of total project costs, not to exceed $83,333.00, for Packery
Channel Boat Ramp renovations and a new, permanent restroom
facility.
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi ("City") is fully eligible to receive assistance
under the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's Boating Access Grant Program;
WHEREAS, this grant opportunity is a reimbursement grant program with a 25%
local match requirement of total project costs;
WHEREAS, the Packery Channel Boat Ramps and restroom facility will be
operated and maintained at the expense of the City and will be open and operated for the
benefit of the public;
WHEREAS, the Packery Channel Boat Ramps and restroom facility will be open
to the general public; and
WHEREAS, the City certifies it has sufficient funds to meet its share of the costs
of the project.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. Resolution authorizing the submission of a grant application to the Texas
Parks & Wildlife Department under its Boating Access Grant Program in the amount up
to $250,000.00 with a required City match of 25% of total project costs, not to exceed
$83,333.00, for Packery Channel Boat Ramp renovations and a new, permanent restroom
facility.
SECTION 2. If awarded, there is a cash match in the amount of up to 25% of the total
project costs, not to exceed $83,333.00, with such funds to be provided from the Tax
Increment Reinvestment Zone #2, Packery Channel TIF 2 Fund.
SECTION 3. City Council designates the Director of Parks and Recreation ("Director") as
the City's authorized official. The Director is empowered to apply for, accept, reject, alter,
or terminate the grant, execute all necessary documents, and administer the grant on
behalf of the City as the applicant agency.
SECTION 4. In the event of the loss or misuse of the Recreation Trails Grant Program
funds, the City assures that the grant funds will be returned to the Texas Parks & Wildlife
Department in full.

I, the Director of the Finance & Procurement Department of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas (or his/her

expenditure described above is in the Treasury to the credit of the Fund specified above, from which it is
to be drawn, and has not been appropriated for any other purpose. Future payments are subject to
