HomeMy WebLinkAbout033929 RES - 05/12/2026Resolution authorizing a one-year service agreement with Pure Technologies U.S., Inc., of Linthicum Heights, Maryland, in an amount up to $340,549.50 for in-service treated water leak detection and mapping of the Laguna Madre Crossing and Port Aransas Pipelines, with FY 2026 funding from the Water Fund. WHEREAS, these services are necessary and integral to the operations of Corpus Christi Water to ensure safe and efficient transport of treated water for the citizens and community; WHEREAS, State law provides that such procurements, as outlined above, are subject to statutory procurement requirements, including competitive bids, unless an exemption applies; WHEREAS, there is a statutory exemption for this procurement in Local Government Code, Section 252.022(a)(2), as this purchase is necessary to preserve or protect the public health and safety of the municipality's residents; and WHEREAS, there is a second statutory exemption for this procurement in Local Government Code, Section 252.022(a)(7)(A), as this purchase is available from only one source due to patents, copyrights, special processes, or natural monopolies. Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas: Section 1. The City Council specifically finds that the foregoing statements included in the preamble of this resolution are true and correct and adopts such findings for all intents and purposes related to the authorization of this procurement. Section 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute all documents necessary to secure a one-year service agreement with Pure Technologies U.S., Inc., in an amount up to $340,549.50 for in-service treated water leak detection, inspection, and mapping of the Laguna Madre Crossing and Port Aransas Pipelines, with FY 2026 funding from the Water Fund.
