HomeMy WebLinkAbout033941 ORD - 06/23/2026Ordinance authorizing the acceptance of a grant from the Office of the Attorney General - Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention for the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force program in the amount of $6,372.00 to purchase forensic computer equipment and software licenses for the Corpus Christi Police Department; and appropriating the $6,372.00 in the Police Grants Fund. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute all documents necessary to accept funding in the amount of $6,372.00 from the Office of the Attorney General- Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention for the Internet Crimes against Children Task Force program for the purchase of forensic computer equipment and software licenses for the Corpus Christi Police Department. SECTION 2. The City of Corpus Christi designates the Chief of Police as the City's authorized official. The authorized official is given the power to apply for, accept, reject, alter, or terminate the funding on behalf of the applicant agency. SECTION 3. In the event of loss or misuse of these funds, the City of Corpus Christi assures that the funds will be returned to the Office of the Attorney General - Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention for the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in full. SECTION 5. The FY 2025-26 Operating Budget, adopted by Ordinance No. 033730, is amended by increasing revenues and expenditures each by $6,372.00 in the Police Grants Fund.
