Beach Maintenance Reimbursement Program from the
Texas General Land Office for $1,815,456.72 to provide
beach cleaning and maintenance on North Padre Island
and Mustang Island.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council authorizes the submission of the grant application for the
FY 2027 Beach Maintenance Reimbursement Program from the Texas General Land
Office for $1,815,456.72 to provide beach cleaning and maintenance on North Padre
Island and Mustang Island.
SECTION 2. The City Council designates the Director of Parks & Recreation as the
grantee's authorized official. The authorized official may apply for, accept, reject, alter, or
terminate the grant and its funding, execute all necessary documents, and administer the
grant on behalf of the City as the applicant agency.
SECTION 3. In the event of the loss or misuse of these grant funds, the City assures that
the funds will be returned to the Texas General Land Office in full.
