of Emergency Management for funding in the amount of $6,618,998.43 for the La
Voila Creek Project with the $2,206,332.81 in local matching funds from the Storm
Water Capital Fund.
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi is eligible to receive grant funding and disaster
assistance from the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) Hazard
Mitigation Grant Program;
WHEREAS, TDEM has previously provided grants in the amount of $163,244.00 for the
La Volla Creek Drainage Project with $995,195.00 in local matching funds;
WHEREAS, TDEM has allotted additional funding for the La Volla Creek Drainage Project
and requested the City submit a grant application for the funds;
WHEREAS, TDEM Hazard Mitigation Grant Program applicants are required to provide
25% or more in matching funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
Section 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to submit grant applications for
the estimated additional $6,455,754.43 of funding available from the Texas Department
of Emergency Management Hazard Mitigation Program and committed to providing
$2,206,332.81 in local matching funds.
Section 2. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute all related
documents necessary to administer said Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, including
minor amendments thereto.

to be drawn, and has not been appropriated for any other purpose. Future payments are subject to
