District Budget for FY 2027 with expenditures in a total amount of
$11,189,046.00 to fund 78 existing and authorized Police sworn
personnel and support equipment; and appropriating $11,189,046.00
in the Crime Control and Prevention District Fund.
WHEREAS, the Crime Control and Prevention District Board held a public hearing
on June 17, 2026, and adopted the FY 2027 budget in compliance with all legal requisites,
including notice of the public hearing published in a newspaper of general circulation in
the district not later than 10 days before the hearing;
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held during a meeting of the City Council in
compliance with all legal requisites, including notice of the public hearing published in a
newspaper of general circulation in the district not later than 10 days before the hearing;
and
WHEREAS, the expenditures in a total amount of $11,189,046.00 in the FY 27
Budget are funded through $9,536,407.00 in projected revenue and $1,652,639.00 in
fund balance.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
Section 1. The FY 2026-2027 budget for the Corpus Christi Crime Control and Prevention
District is approved.
