Motion authorizing the execution of an Interlocal Agreement with the Port of Corpus
Christi Authority of Nueces County, Texas for Floodwall Upgrades at the Science
Museum for the Port of Corpus Christi Authority to design and construct a
floodwall/bulkhead with concrete apron, provide flood protection, pedestrian connectivity,
and Ship Channel operational improvements and City to reimburse Port of Corpus Christi
Authority in an amount not to exceed $13,850,000 located in Council District 1 with FY
2026 funding available from prior Type A Sales Tax and new Type B Sales Tax fund.
At a meeting of the City Council on 9/8/2026, this Motion was passed.

I, the Director of the Finance & Procurement Department of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas (or his/her
duly authorized representative), hereby certify to the City Council and other appropriate officers that the
money required for the current fiscal year's portion of the contract, agreement, obligation or
expenditure described above is in the Treasury to the credit of the Fund specified above, from which it is
to be drawn, and has not been appropriated for any other purpose. Future payments are subject to
annual appropriation by the City Council.
