Corporation, for the Harbor Playhouse located at 1802 N. Chaparral
St., in consideration of Harbor Playhouse Company advancing
community theater through performances, educational programs,
outreach activities, and cultural programming, and maintenance of the
facilities; and providing for publication. (28-day delay required
between readings)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute a 10-year lease
agreement with two five-year mutual renewal options with the Harbor Playhouse
Company for the continued use and operation of the Harbor Playhouse, located at 1802
N. Chaparral St., in consideration of Harbor Playhouse Company advancing community
theater through performances, educational programs, outreach activities, and cultural
programming, and maintenance of the facilities.
SECTION 2. If for any reason, any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word,
or provision of this ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a
court, it may not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word,
or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every
section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance be
given full force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 3. Publication of this ordinance must be made in the official publication for the
City of Corpus Christi as required by the City Charter.
SECTION 4. This ordinance is effective on and after the 61 st day after passage.
