Bakery, LLC, for a total incentive project not to exceed $363,000.00 for economic
development of a bakery manufacturing business, creating 121 primary jobs;
authorizing the expenditure of up to $363,000.000.00 from the Type B unreserved
fund balance. - Motion to amend Section 3 of the Resolution to authorize Corpus
Christi B Corporation to with Section 18 amended to allow the City to send notice
of defaultenter into a Business Incentive Agreement,
WHEREAS, the Texas Legislature has authorized economic development expenditures for Type
B Corporation ("Board") programs under the Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 505;
WHEREAS, the Board has found that it is in the best interest of the residents of the City of Corpus
Christi ("City") that up to $363,000.00 from the Corpus Christi B Corporation Economic Development
Fund be reserved for the 2101 Morgan Avenue property, El Bolillo Bakery project to promote economic
development of a bakery manufacturing facility which will create 121 primary jobs, and approving a
business incentive agreement with El Bolillo Bakery, LLC, for a term of five years;
WHEREAS, the El Bolillo Bakery project aligns with the City's economic development goals by
fostering economic development enhancement for projects related to manufacturing and job creation
in accordance with Texas Local Government Code Chapter 505;
WHEREAS, the City is authoring the project outlined above and that project encompasses only
that in the attached business incentive agreement and is not authorizing any future amendments to the
agreement;
WHEREAS, any future amendments to the program or business incentive agreement shall be
presented to the City Council for approval; and
WHEREAS, on September 10, 2026, in accordance with Texas Local Government Code Section
505.159, the Corpus Christi B Corporation held a public hearing for the El Bolillo Bakery project, and the
B Corporation Board finds that this project is an eligible Type B expenditure under Texas Local
Government Code Sec. 505.151.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. City of Corpus Christi finds that the foregoing statements included in the preamble of this
resolution are true and correct and hereby affirms such findings for all intents and purposes.
SECTION 2. Funds in the amount of $363,000.00 are appropriated from Type B Fund for the El Bolillo
Bakery project for an agreement with El Bolillo Bakery, LLC.
SECTION 3. Corpus Christi B Corporation is authorized to enter into a business incentive agreement with
El Bolillo Bakery, LLC, with Section 18 amended to allow the City to send notice of default, for development
of a bakery manufacturing business, creating 121 primary�1 jobs.1
