SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
May 27, 1963

Mayor James L. Barnard called the meeting to order.
City Secretary T. Ray Kring called the roll of those in attendance.
Mayor Barnard announced the purpose of the special meeting for
canvassing the returns and declaring the results of a Special Election held
on May 25, 1963, on the question of approval of a 30 -year contract for Sale
of Water to San Patricio Municipal Water District, and such other matters as
may properly come before the meeting.

CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF AN Mr,FCTION HELD IN THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, ON MAY 25, 1963, ON THE QUESTION OF WHETHER OR NOT
TO AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH SAN PATRICIO MUNICIPAL WATER DIS-
TRICT FOR SALE OF WATER TO SAID WATER DISTRICT FOR A PERIOD OF 30 YEARS;
AUTHORIZING FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, SAID CONTRACT OF SALE OF WATEH IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE VOTE OF THE PEOPLE AT SAID FT.FCTION; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
The Charter rule Was suspended by the following vote: Mayor Barnard,
Commissioners Young, Blackmon, de Leon, Maldonado, Roberts, and Wallace all
present and voting "Aye".
The foregoing ordinance was passed by the following vote: Mayor
Barnard, Commissioners Young, Blackmon, de Leon, Maldonado, Roberts, and
Wallace all voting "Aye".
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
special meeting was adjourned.
