Motion approving the purchase of one fire rescue truck, two pumper trucks, and the
basic tools and equipment for the pumper trucks in accordance with Bid Invitation
No. BI-0170-96 to the following firms. Awards are based on Iow bid, best bid, and
Iow bid meeting specifications. The equipment is budgeted in the 1995-96 budget.
The rescue truck will be funded through the City's contract with GE Capital for
lease/purchase; one pumper truck is included in bond funds for the new Fire Station
No. 4 at Rodd Field Road; and one pumper truck is budgeted in the 1995-96 Capital
Outlay. The rescue truck and one pumper truck are additional; the other pumper
truck is replacement.
