Motion approving a supply agreement for approximately 1,387 automotive and
commercial batteries in accordance with Bid Invitation No. BI-0228-96 with Excide
Battery, Corpus Christi, Texas based on the total Iow bid of $47,521.18. The term
of the contract will be twelve months with an option to extend for up to two
additional twelve month periods subject to the approval of the supplier and the City
Manager or his designee. These batteries will be used by Maintenance Services,
Fire Department and Park and Recreation. Funds have been budgeted by these
departments for FY 96-97. (Attachment # 11)
