Motion authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into a contract with
the Greater Corpus Christi Business Alliance (Alliance) wherein, for the period
January 1, 1997 through December 31, 1997, the Alliance will obtain professional
representation in Washington, D.C. from Meyers & Associates on legislative and
policy issues related to long term water supply and related debt, area military
facilities, ozone standards under the Clean Air Act, and various other federal
regulatory and funding programs, and providing that the City will pay $5,500 per
month to the Alliance for professional representation and up to $5,000 over the term
of the contract for actual travel expenses related to supervision of the contract.
