Motion approving a supply agreement for approximately 2,700 tons of pebble
calcium oxide in accordance with Bid Invitation No. B1-0072-97 with APG Lime
Corp., New Braunfels, Texas, based on Iow bid, for an estimated annual
expenditure of $132,705. The term of the contract will be twelve months with an
option to extend for up to two additional twelve-month periods subject to the
approval of the supplier and the City Manager or his designee. This chemical is
used by the Water Department for the treatment of our water supply. Funds have
been budgeted in FY 96/97.
