Mayor James L. Barnard called the meeting to order and announced the pur-
pose of the special meeting for the opening of bids on annual contracts for approx-
imately 41 items required by various Divisions of the City.
Bids sere opened and read on 50 items of Radio Tubes in various quanti-
ties, from the following: Electronic Equipment & Engineering Co.; Graybar Electric
Company, Inc.; Modern Electronics Co.; and Motorola Communications & Electronics,
Inc.
Bids Were opened and read on 2 items of High Potential Anodes from the
following: Brance-Krachy Co., Inc.; Cathodic Protection Service; Corrosion Ser-
vices Inc.; National Electric; and Standard Magnesium & Chemical Co.
Bids were opened and read oa 15 items of Blueprint Service from the
following: C. C. Photo Print Co.; Nixon Blue Print Co.; Ridgway's; and Vaughn
Plaza Reproduction Service.
Bids were opened and read on 4 items of Oxygen and Acetylene from the
following: Big Three Welding Equipment Co.; Crane Welding Supply Co.; and Welders
Equip*ent Co.
Bids were opened and read on 6 items of Janitorial Paper Items from the
following: Corpus Christi Paper Co.; and Magnolia Paper Co.
Bids were opened and read on 3 lots of Stationery Store Paper Items from
the following: Butler Paper Company; Carpenter Paper Company; Corpus Christi
Paper Company; Maverick -Clarke; A. C. Roes & Son Paper Co; and Shiner -Siem Paper
Co.
Bids were opened and read on 4 lots of Lumber and Survey Stakes from the

All of the foregoing bids were tabled for 48 hours as required by City
Charter, and referred to the City Manager for tabulation and recommendation.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the special
meeting vas adjourned.
