Motion authorizing the City Manager or his designee to negotiate a contract for
professional services with Naismith Engineering, Inc., of Corpus Christi, Texas, for
planning, project management, preliminary design and environmental services
associated with the preparation of wastewater discharge permit amendments
necessary to implement the wastewater effluent diversions under the Nueces DeLta
Effluent Diversion Project Work Plan as approved by City Council on September 23,
1997, and waiving the requirement to prepare and disseminate Requests for
Proposals and undertake a selection process for these professional services due
to the critical time frames for submitting the permit applications under the Work
Plan.
