Motion authorizing the City Manager or his designee to enter into a contract with the
Greater Corpus Christi Business Alliance wherein, for the period January 1, 1998
through December 31, 2000, subject to appropriation, the Alliance will obtain
professional representation in Washington, D.C. from Meyers & Associates on
legislative and policy issues related to long term water supply and related debt, area
military facilities, ozone standards under the Clean Air Act, and various other federal
regulatory and funding programs, and providing that the City will pay $6,250 per
month to the Alliance for professional representation and up to $5,000 per year over
the term of the contract for actual travel expenses related to supervision of the
contract.
