MOTIONS - 8/25/98
Motion authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute a one year
Interlocal Agreement for Regional Water Planning Services with the Nueces River
Authority whereby 1) the City will provide $10,000 as a local co-sponsor of a study
funded by the Texas Water Development Board on technologies for desalting
brackish and saline waters, and 2) the City will pay the Authority $5,000 per month
to coordinate public outreach programs in the regional water service area, identify
funding for regional and inter-regional water resources development, track
developments in water supply technologies, investigate environmental issues, and
monitor the proposed desalination facility in Tampa Bay. (Attachment # 12)
