SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
May 24, 1965
9:30 p.m.

Mayor McIver Furman called the meeting to order and announced the purpose
of the special meeting for considering the granting of applications of Cities
Service Oil Company for permits to drill and operate two oil andfor gas wells in
Corpus Christi Bay; and such other business as may properly come before the Council.
City Secretary T. Ray Kring n.11ed the roll of those in attendance.
City Manager Whitney presented the application of Cities Service Oil
Company for a permit to drill Well No. 1 in State Tract 4+9, Corpus Christi Bay,
Nueces County; a plat showing the location of the well; copy of Railroad Commission
permit; copy of Oil and Gas Lease; certificate of insurance; and proposed casing
program; and request for variance for proposed depth of well to be 12,600 feet.
Mr. Whitney stated that the required documents, including the necessary filing
fee, appeared to be in order, and recommended approval of the permit.
City Manager Whitney presented the application of Cities Service Oil
Company for permit to drill Well No. 3 in State Tract 15, Corpus Christi Bay,
Nueces County; a plat showing the location of the well; copy of Railroad Commis-
sion permit; copy of Oil and Gas Lease; certificate of insurance; proposed casing
program; and request for variance for proposed depth of well to be 12,600 feet.
Mr. Whitney stated that the required documents, including the necessary filing
fee, appeared to be in order, and recommended approval of the permit.
No one appeared in opposition to either of these applications.
Motion by Blackmon, seconded by Dunne and passed that Cities Service Oil
Company be granted a permit to drill Well No. 1, State Tract 49, Corpus Christi
Bay, Nueces County, and a permit to drill Well No. 3, State Tract 15, Corpus Christi
Bay, Nueces County, as applied for.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the special
meeting was adjourned.

NOTICE is hereby given that a special meeting of the City Council of the
City of Corpus Christi, Texas, will be held in the City of Corpus Christi, Texas,
in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, at

CONSENT TO MEETING
We, the undersigned members of the City Council, the City Manager, the
City Secretary and the City Attorney to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, hereby
accept service of the foregoing notice, waiving any and all irregularities in such
service and consent and agree that said meeting shall be at the time and place there-
in n.ii'd and for the purpose therein stated.
