Motion approving a supply agreement with Van Waters & Rogers, Corpus Christi,
Texas for approximately 7,200 tons of liquid caustic soda in accordance with Bid
Invitation No. B1-0047-00 based on low bid for an estimated expenditure of
$438,840. The term of the supply agreement will be for six months with an option
to extend for up to two additional six-month periods subject to the approval of the
supplier and the City Manager or his designee. The Water Department will use this
chemical for water supply treatment. Funds have been budgeted in FY99-00.
