Motion approving a supply agreement for approximately 5,000 tons of 50% caustic
soda with Formosa Plastics Corporation, USA, Livingston, New Jersey, based on
Iow bid, in accordance with Bid Invitation No. B1-0093-01 for an estimated annual
expenditure of $880,000. The term of the contract will be twelve months with option
to extend for up to two additional twelve-month periods, subject to the approval of
the contractor and the City Manager or his designee. Funds have been budgeted
by the Water Department in FY00-01.
