Motion directing staff to develop by first Council Meeting of December 2001 a
request for proposals for professional services to prepare the preliminary design for
a water desalination facility utilizing brackish groundwater with a capacity of
approximately $ - 5 million gallons of water per day located on and servicing
Padre/Mustang Island, and to explore possible benefits of partnering with other
entities to complete the project as compared with the benefits of proceeding
independently.
