CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS
SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
June 26, 1968
8:00 A.M.

Mayor Pro Tem Ronnie Sizemore palled the meeting to order and announced
the purpose of the special meeting for the opening of bids on 49 Items of
Annual Supply Contracts, required by the various divisions of the City, and
such other business as may properly come before the Council.
City Secretary T. Ray Kring called the roll of those in attendance.
Purchasing Agent Jack Ponton opened and read bids from various firms
on the following items required by the various divisions of the City: Air Con-
ditioning Refrigerants; Anodes; Automotive and Flashlight Batteries; Bag Portland
Cement; Bermuda Grass Seed; Blueprint Service; Brass and Iron Service Fittings;
Bricks; Bulk Portland Cement; Cast Iron, Ductile Iron and/or Asbestos Cement
Pipe; Cast Iron Tapping Sleeves & Valves; Commercial Fertilizer; Custodial Ser-
vices; Fire Hydrants; Firemen's Uniforms; Foundry Items; Fuel, Motor Oil and
Grease; Gas and Water Meters; Gas Regulators (house type); Hand and Garden Tools;
Janitorial Supply Items; Lime Slurry; Linen and Towel Service; Lubricated Plug
Valves; Lumber and Survey Stakes; Malleable Fittings, Black & Galvanized; Manila
and Wire Rope, Chains, Clamps and Hooks; Mechanical Joint Cast Iron Fittings;
Mechanical Joint Gate Valves; Oxygen and Acetylene; Pest Control Services; Pipe
Repair Clamps, Couplings and Adapters; Pipeline Primer, Enamel & Felt; Police-
men's and Bus Drivers Uniforms; Polyethylene Plastic; Printing Papers and Sta-
tionery Store Items; Radio Tubes; Ready Mix Concrete; Reinforced Concrete Pipe;
Sewer Tile and Fittings; Sparkplugs, Oil and Fuel Filters; Standard Stock Forms;
Street Construction Materials; Street Marking Materials; Street Sign Blanks;
Street Sweeper Broom Materials; Tabulating Machine Cards; Tires and Tubes; and
Water and Sewage Treating Chemicals.
All of the foregoing bids which were opened and read were tabled for
forty-eight hours as required by the City Charter, and referred to the City.
Manager for tabulation and recommendation.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the special
meeting was adjourned.

started.
