6.a. Motion authorizing the City Manager or his designee to procure SafetyPAD an
automated patient tracking software application from Open, Inc., of Saint Paul,
Minnesota in an amount not to exceed $112,583.01. SafetyPAD is an
automated patient tracking system specifically designed for use by Emergency
Medical Service (EMS) in the field. Not only will this purchase improve the
operations of EMS it will simultaneously serve to meet new Federal Emergency
Management Agency (FEMA) initiatives as well. This item falls under the public
safety exception to competitive bidding requirements

the credit of the Fund specified below, from which it is to be drawn. and has not been appropriated
for any other purpose
