SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
April 17, 1970
11:45 A. M.

Mayor Jack R. Blackmon called the Special Meeting to order at 11:45 a,m.,
and announced the purpose of the meeting was to make appointments to fill vacancies
existing on numerous Boards and Commissions, and any other business as may properly
come before the Council. He asked that it be noted that a quorum of the Council
was present.
Motion by Sizemore, seconded by Roberts and passed, that the following
appointments and reappointments to fill vacancies on Boards and Commissions,
be confirmed and approved:
Airport Board: Reappointment of Hayden W. Head; G. Robert Welch; Phillip A.
Schraub; M. D. Miller; and Wallace L.Lundgren:
Ambulance Committee: Appointment of Henry Ayala, and Chas. J. Jackson,
replacing Patrick J. Dunne and Manuel N. Cantu, Jr.;
Bay Drilling Committee: Reappointment of Ed Harte, and Lenford K. Williams;
Board of Adjustment: Appointment of Ben A. Terry (Alternate member),
replacing Sam Amspoker; and reappointment of James P. Naismith; Franklin Critz, Sr.;
Curtis Dyer (Temporary Chairman); R. E. Laird; Bill House (Alternate); and Stanley
Martinez;
Board of Equalization: Appointment of Odell Ingle; Harry T. Pinson; and
M, L. Ramirez;
Building Code of Appeals: Appointment of Frank J. Gamez, replacing John
Harrison; and Edgar H. Moore, replacing Fred T. Rheinlander.
Building Standards and Housing Board of Appeals: Appointment of Howard F.
Sudduth (Attorney}, replacing Harold Thomas; Jim Wilburn, Jr. (Member at Large),
replacing Alonzo M. Gonzalez; Rev. Elliot Grant (Member at Large), replacing Mrs.
William Gill; and Dr. C. R. Woolsey (Physician), replacing Dr. H. J. Williams;
Charter Amendment Advisory Committee: Appointment of Michael Kendrick;
Homer E. Johnson; Raul C. Rodriguez; Dr. Ken Maroney; Celso Rodriguez; Robert P.

Vere being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting
was adjourned.
